Well here we are on September 28th and I feel like Linus leaning on his elbow at the end of "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" BUT instead of lamenting the end of another Halloween--- I'M saying "Another year come and gone... AND IT'S TIME FOR ANOTHER HALLOWEEN COUNTDOWN!"
This is my 18th year as part of the Countdown to Halloween Blogspot blog-o-thon.
I took part with the old Halloween Addict blog from 2009-2012... switched to "micro-blogging" on just social accounts from 2013-2020... and then created HalloweenThing.com to go back to my roots in old-school-is-the-new-cool blogging starting in 2018.
Starting October 1st, I'll stop my usual stream of #HalloweenSpotted-type super-short posts and start posting longer reads that are, still, 100% written by a human being. #NOAI
I'll be writing longer pieces because a) I like it, and b) you won't find what I'm writing about on any other Halloween sites. Personal stories. Nostalgic dive-ins. A few reviews of candy, books, movies, decorations (mainly to give me an excuse to buy some of the new Halloween candy, books, movies, & decorations.). No 'theme'--- just a trick or treat bag full of goodness.
TLDRs need not apply. 🎃
I say I'm going to do 31 posts every year and then, y'know... life.
But let's see how we do this year, shall we?
