Woke up this morning to find my YouTube channel peppered with posts of the new, official, Halloween: The Game videogame announce trailer.

I will say this about the trailer:  it's great to see more Halloween decorations than are in the original film!

Screengrab from Halloween: The Game announce trailer.

There are lit pumpkin jack o' lanterns, black & orange streamers, a skeleton door hanger, black cat cutouts, a furrowed-brow owl, and a swinging ghost (hanging? hanging ghost?  The ghost isn't at a key party or anything...).  Delightful!  I'm not knocking John Carpenter's classic film, I know enough to know that the low budget production crew was raking up the single bag of leaves to re-use-- so resources were limited.  But it sure is a great sight to see more Halloween in Halloween.

Here's to hoping there's a sandbox quality to the game that allows me to just walk around the streets of Haddonfield, gazing at decorated porches, while John Carpenter's iconic "The Haunted House" plays...
