Halloween Spotted: The Last of Us, Season 1, Episode 7 "Left Behind"

Bravo to the creative team making the mushroom-zombie show The Last of Us for injecting a little scary-season-spirit into its bleak story lines...

The Last of Us, HBO

In episode 7 of HBO's The Last of Us, main character Ellie and her friend Riley break into an abandoned Boston mall and explore.  In addition to experiencing such mall staples as arcades, carousels, and Victoria's Secret window displays, they play around in a Spirit Halloween-esque store complete with canned screams, plastic jack o' lanterns, and monster masks.  A banner proudly proclaims "Hallowe'en Fun All Year Long!" and I couldn't agree more.
